What I want most of all is for my family to all be together and celebrate Christmas. But as families are dysfunctional, mine is no perfect picture either. So … To materialism!
Wait. No. I don’t want to come off as this superficial blogger who just briefly touches upon the hardships and storms I weather in life. But some things are just. Personal.
I believe that women (and men) can be strong and vulnerable at the same time. I’m pretty good at letting only the people very, very close to me know about what really is cooking up in my head. And I’ve struggled with that. Because I’ve felt like I’ve put more than what is handleable on another person. So, why don’t we just open a bit more up and be honest about how we feel to the people around us? The trick is just to find a balance between sharing just about enough and over-sharing.
What I’m trying to say is that if you are out there and feeling blue about Christmas, just know that you are not alone in this. My little pink heart at the end of this post goes out to you.
